I grew up in northeast Iowa in a town called Independence. I have one younger brother who currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska. My parents still live in my childhood home outside of Independence. As a kid, I was very active and enjoyed participating in all kinds of sports (softball, basketball, track, cross country, and volleyball!). After high school, I moved to Iowa City where I received my bachelor’s degree in health and human physiology. After undergrad, I was given the amazing opportunity to stay in Iowa City for two more years while attending physical therapy school.

During school, I was able to explore many different fields of physical therapy and became aware of the endless opportunities this career offers. After graduation in December 2021, I moved to Des Moines and immediately started working at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers. This clinic focused on balance and dizziness diagnoses and I quickly fell in love with this unique area of physical therapy. In December of 2023, Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers closed its doors and Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy provided me with an opportunity to continue to work with this population. In January of 2024, I joined the Mountain Laurel Physical Therapy team and am so happy to be on board!

My husband Luke and I currently live in Waukee and we have been here for the past several years. Luke is attending medical school at Des Moines University. In our free time, we enjoy traveling (especially to national parks), trying new restaurants and binge-watching shows on TV. We have a Goldendoodle named Ravioli and a Maine Coon named Macaroni.
