Dr. Sadie Teno

PT
Physical Therapist

I grew up in the country in southern Iowa and never strayed too far from home—attending Drake University for undergrad and earning my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Des Moines University. Since graduating, I’ve worked in outpatient care, starting in a rural setting where I got to treat a wide variety of patients—from pediatrics to geriatrics, orthopedic post-ops to complex neurologic cases, and women’s pelvic health. I truly love the variety each day brings.

I’m married to my college sweetheart, and our little family includes our sweet Australian Shepherd, Riley, and a half-Aussie/Corgi named Macy, who very much runs the household.

I hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and have several years of experience treating a wide range of patient populations. I’ve pursued additional continuing education in pelvic health and dry needling, and have hands-on experience working with vestibular and balance disorders, concussions, TMJ dysfunction, post-op recovery, hypermobility, and neurologic conditions like CVA and TBI. This broad background allows me to adapt my treatment approach to meet each patient’s unique needs.

Compassion, curiosity, and integrity. I believe in treating everyone with kindness and respect, being open-minded, and always showing up authentically—especially when it comes to helping others heal and thrive.

“Have courage and be kind.”

I specialize in pelvic health and bring a versatile background to the clinic. I’m also being mentored to grow my skills in treating dizziness and balance issues stemming from a wide variety of root causes. I enjoy working with an eclectic mix of conditions and love helping people find lasting, functional improvements.

I want to help people feel more empowered and at home in their own bodies, so they can reclaim their confidence and live life to the fullest.

I enjoy treating vestibular disorders, balance challenges, concussion, post-operative recovery, TMJ dysfunction, pelvic health conditions, chronic illness management, hypermobility, and neurologic conditions such as CVA and TBI.

The team at Mountain Laurel PT is incredibly welcoming and genuinely passionate about what they do. I love being part of such a collaborative and supportive environment that puts patients first and makes learning and growing as a therapist fun.
